PLANTABLE CALENDAR

Design produced for a plantable calendar, made in collaboration with UWE graphic design students and submitted to the 2023 RSA Design Awards, Planet Generation.
Illustration made for the month of March, based on the brief:
'A Window to Nature'.
Artwork focuses on the positivity, hope and 'new life' that comes with the Spring season.
The benefits of being in contact with nature have been more widely recognized within the health industry, it has been proven to improve mental and physical health as well as speed up the recovery process.
"We want to bring this philosophy to Bristol by creating a partnership between hospitals and local community gardens to provide patients with workshops where they can get involved with nature and learn more about sustainable gardening. Apart from bringing patients to nature, we also want to bring some of that nature back to patients’ rooms by designing a plantable calendar with nature illustrations that contrast with the white clinical walls of the hospital."
